Pew Research has produced some fascinating polling on National Pride.  The interesting aspect of the graphic below is that the real finding is that Britons and Americans on the ideological left are very different from their friends elsewhere, they are anti-British and and anti-American.  Right wing Americans are only as patriotic as centrist Germans.
