Starmer has just tackled Reform by saying it would lead to the same ‘disaster’ as the Truss government. Journalists were not convinced:
Most journalists realize that Truss was ousted in a Tory leadership coup and did not wreck the economy. However, journalists care little about the truth. There were indeed economic difficulties during the brief Truss government but anyone who has considered the economics knows these were unrelated to the policies proposed by Truss.
In particular the Bank of England has produced a working paper that shows it was largely to blame for the mayhem in the bond markets after the Truss mini budget by failing to regulate the pension market properly. Everyone knows this but after destroying Truss the Tories could not back-track and say that Truss was actually OK.
The fact that the mainstream media has never been honest about the Truss government means that Starmer is now using a lie to attack Reform. Politics has really gone through the looking glass here. We are in a land of make believe about make believe. Are the electorate really that gullible?
The electorate can be certain of one thing. Starmer is against Britain and against democracy:
This is something that we must not forget. This man will say anything to get power and mingle with the mega rich.

Truss was blamed for raising interest rates but blaming her was a lie:
Rates rocketed far more under Sunak but this was not his fault either. The rates were rising globally in a post-COVID adjustment.
Truss was also blamed for the “fall in the pound”. This was actually a rise in the dollar! This can be seen from the way the Euro fell in exactly the same way as the pound:
However, to justify replacing Truss with Sunak (the Goldman Sachs man), the Tories invented the idea that there was a national economic emergency. The Parliamentary Conservative Party ignored their own constitution and installed Sunak without a vote by the membership. (See Liz Truss and The Tory Civil War).
Of course, the lies used to mount this coup meant that Labour were supplied with the perfect argument to convince the electorate not to vote Tory. The Tories did not mind because they are Internationalists like Labour. Sunak reasoned that five years of Labour would be no different from five years of Tories. The Multinationals and International banks who run Davos (WEF) are happy with either party. The Tories were too stupid to predict that Reform would cause them to be almost wiped out at the polls.

Labour IS the Far Left
In these days of the media describing Jeremy Corbyn as being “to the left” of Labour it is worth reviewing where Labour is placed on the political spectrum. This is especially relevant because Kier Starmer was a close ally of Corbyn and he had been a well-known Pabloite Trotskyist after university.
I’ve always been very cynical about claims that Truss destroyed the economy. I’m not economically literate, but from what I remember of the times, pundits and politicians alike seemed to be taking such glee in talking down the markets to the point that, as an uninformed onlooker, it seemed to me that they were the ones doing the damage.
